Habitat                                    : A robust, shrubby perennial love to grow in riverbank.

Distribution                            : Distributed in sub-tropical and temperate region.

Sikkim                                     : Bakhim, Prekchu, Ringkhola-Katam, Ravong, Lingdem, Lingthem, Leek, Nampattam,Gangtok (Chanbari),

                                                 Pangthang and all other temperate regions of the state.

Outside                                   : Mishmi hills, Nilgiris, West Bengal.

General                                   : Himalaya (Gerhwal-Arunachal Pradesh), Assam, East to West China.

Morphological information\

Shrubby, branches stout, terete, villous with erect or spreading hairs. Leaves petioled ellipticlanceolate, tomentose or villose beneath.silkily pubescent. Flowers white in thyrosoid, tomentose orvillose beneath; panicles, perianth 2mm diameter segments oblong, but included in the usually

Medicinal                    : The herb possesses astringent properties and is prescribed in diarrhoea. Note: The young shoot is eatable and also prepared
