Description |
Stem
bulbous at base and arising from a large warty
rootstock; pseudostem bearing 2 leaves at the apex;
leaves with petioles 10-15 cm, elliptic, plicate, 15-30
cm * 7.5-12.5 cm; inflorescence often 2 from base of the
bulb, 30-35 cm long; raceme 10-15 cm long, dense;
flowers partly opening, drooping, imbricating, pink,
30-35 mm long; floral bract lanceolate, exceeding the
short ovary; sepals and petals narrowly lanceolate;
labellum linear, shortly saccate at base, dilated and
3-lobed towards the apex; lateral lobes narrowly oblong,
divergent; the apical lobe much longer, oblong, blunt,
with a fleshy appendage near base; column long, slender,
dilated and 3-lobed at the apex. |
